Perkins Slade have developed the following Products to provide comprehensive insurance protection for your sport.

Civil Liability
Everyone involved in sport has a responsibility to ensure that anything they do does not cause injury or financial loss to others, or damage to property. If they do and negligence is proven, they become legally liable to pay compensation. Our Civil Liability Policy provides comprehensive cover for incidents arising out of your Association's activities.

Fact: Ben Smoulden a participant in an Amateur Rugby Union Match, broke his neck. Referee was found negligent. Award £1.92m.
Personal Accident
This provides compensation [irrespective of who is to blame] for a catastrophic accident leading to death or permanent disability. Cover operates whilst participating in sporting activities.

Fact: Over 50,000 participants a year in Amateur Sport, suffer accidents leading to loss of earnings.
Annual and Single Trip Travel Policy
This provides protection for Association or Club Officials, staff and/or competitors whilst travelling on behalf of the organisation. Cover includes Medical Expenses - should the injured person require hospital treatment overseas, Personal Accident, Personal Liability and Loss of Money and Baggage. Trip cancellation is also included.

Fact: Over 2,000 Amateur sports participants a year require Medical Assistance whilst participating in their sport overseas.
Assets
This provides against loss of or accidental damage to your equipment [Buildings, Contents, etc.]. It also provides Loss of Revenue cover, which will help protect your club's income in the event of a loss. Cover is available for buildings of non-standard construction eg. Timber.

Fact: Over 10,000 sports clubs suffer losses as a result of fire or theft per annum.

Event Protection

This provides cover for Cancellation and Abandonment, Property whilst at the Event (and if necessary Public Liability) cover is available up to £50,000 sum insured.

Fact: Over two thirds of event organisers don’t have insurance and more than a third of them have cancelled an event due to circumstances beyond their control.
