If you are in any doubt as to what action to take, or whether you need to tell us about an incident, please contact the Claims Team on 0121 698 8040 (office hours) or click here to inform of us of the details and we will tell you what to do next.

For travel cover, if your policy is with P J Hayman (our preferred Insurer), you have access to a 24 hour Emergency Medical Assistance Number : +44 (0)20 8603 9509 (from outside the UK) or 020 8603 9509 within the UK, which you should ring in the event of a medical emergency. In the event of a claim for anything else, e.g. cancellation, delayed departure etc, please call 0845 260 1525 or email : claims@pjhayman.com to request a claim form.

Business property claim

Action points:

  • Take photographs of the damage.
  • Make the property secure.
  • Take any action necessary to prevent more damage, including temporary repairs.
  • Report any theft or malicious damage to police.
  • Contact us to tell us what happened and for advice on estimates.
  • List items to be replaced or repaired together with original purchase invoices and/or estimates.

Loss adjusters may be appointed by the insurer to deal with the claim.

Injury to an employee

Action points:

  • Don't admit any responsibility.
  • Contact us and tell us what happened and to describe extent of injuries.
  • Complete an accident report.
  • Report serious incidents to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) on 0845 300 99 23.
  • Send any correspondence from the employee, or their solicitors, to us immediately and unanswered.
  • Tell us if a personal injury claim is made against you.

Injury or damage to the property of others

Action points:

  • Don't admit any responsibility.
  • Tell us what happened and if anybody has been injured.
  • Tell us if there has been any damage to property.
  • Identify the customer or other party.
  • Send any correspondence you receive to us immediately and unanswered.
  • Tell us if any claim is made against you.

Action points:

Motor vehicle claim

If you have been provided with specific contact details for reporting claims directly to your insurers, contact them as soon as possible. Otherwise please refer to the advice below.

Theft claim

Action points:

  • Contact us to tell us what has happened and for advice on estimates (if your vehicle is recovered).
  • Tell us the police station (and crime ref) where the theft was reported.
  • We will need vehicle documents, if the vehicle has not been recovered within 14 days.
  • If the vehicle is leased, report the theft to your lease company.

Accident

Action points:

  • Don't admit any responsibility.
  • Obtain contact, vehicle and insurance details of other driver(s).
  • If there were any witnesses get their contact details.
  • Take photographs of damage and accident scene.
  • Contact us to tell us what has happened and for advice on estimates.
  • You should not proceed with non-urgent repairs until authorisation has been confirmed.
  • Send any correspondence from the other drivers or their insurers to us immediately and unanswered.
  • Tell us if a personal injury claim is made against you.

Sports travel claims

Please ring and ask for a claim form as soon as possible after an event which you may want to claim for.

The telephone number is 0845 122 3280 The phone line is open 24 hours, 365 days a year if you need to make a claim.

Your call may be recorded or monitored for training purposes, or to improve the quality of the service.

Fill in the claim form and return it with the relevant documents listed below.

  • Your policy and your insurance schedule.
  • All the certificates, accounts, receipts, information and evidence you send must be in the form asked for.

Always send originals and not photocopies.

You must pay any costs involved in providing these documents.
