A current Great Britain international player-coach and 10 years at the top of one of the UK’s fastest growing sports, Dan Furnell has been passing on his wealth of experience and expertise to East Midlands Open (EMO); the Midlands’ most successful Ultimate Frisbee team.

 

Dan’s time and hard work on and off the field has, and continues to, develop Ultimate players of all experience and abilities. Last year, Dan helped lead the team to the Ultimate Frisbee European Championships in Bruge. The carefully planned weekly training sessions have begun, and Dan has still found the time to organise and implement a Midlands-wide Skills Clinic to evolve the sport’s future top players and also to introduce and develop the sport by coaching at Midlands universities.

With a perfectly balanced delivery of task-master and good humour, Dan has the full support and respect of everyone he works with.
